[The first thing one can see when looking in their journal, is Kohaku staring right back. It's obvious she's wet, and has quite a few spots of mud on her face, but if you watch her for long enough, it's pretty easy to tell she's not moving. Why? She is currently being held down by something! She can use her hands and feet just fine, but when she tries to get up...well, the only thing that happens is that she gets more mud on her face.

Eventually she stares at the book for too long though-]

Hello...I know it's kind of wet outside, and I think I'm stuck...or something heavy is on me, and I can't get up! I can't even turn around to see what it is...but I was wondering if someone could help. I would really like to be inside.

I understand if you don't want to help though. It's not very nice out.

[Although she doesn't like it, she could stay outside for the rest of the day without any problems, but laying in some mud, and grass is decently uncomfortable for her. Anybody walking around the edge of the forest should be able to spot her, since purple clothes don't exactly go with green! And if they watch her she looks like she's trying her very first push-up.(Which she kind of is) She doesn't get very high before she flops back down to the ground.

At least things can't get any worse!]

[ooc: She's just gone from 15lbs to 85lbs~ And sorry for the repost. I looked at the calender.]

[He nods and turns to go farther into the trees. But not too much farther--he's not really used to all this nature and he's heard enough crazy stories about what kind of animals might be in a forest.

Soon enough he returns with a stick that should be sturdy enough to lean on. He waves to her as he approaches and then holds it out to her when he stops.]

Think this'll work?

[He's concerned that it might not be enough, but it has to be worth a shot.]

[When he hands it to her, she's going to be looking very much like an old person, being very wobbly.

But eventually she gets it. She has to shift her weight often, but she can do it.]

I think so.

[He stays nearby, unsure of what to do except be ready to catch her if it isn't enough; it would be kind of mean to let her fall again.

He wasn't sure how much faith to have in this idea, so he looks a bit too surprised when it seems to work.]

Really? Great!

[Still, it probably isn't a good idea to leave her on her own.]

You want me to walk you home?

[She's trying really hard not to fall! She even gets more steady the longer she stands there. She's just getting used to it.]

Yes, if you don't mind though.

I don't mind at all. I'd have to be a real jerk if I left you on your own.

[He rocks back on his heels, glancing around as if he's trying to spot her house.]

Which way?

I guess that's true.

[But if he had something important to do, Kohaku would feel bad for making him miss it.]

...Which way is it to house fifty?

House fifty? Um...

[Luceti's layout is much simpler than that of his home city, so even though he didn't set out to memorize the place he has a good idea of where everything is by now. It crept up on him over the almost two years he's been there.

He looks around the area once more to establish where they are, then points off into the distance. It helps that house fifty isn't too far from his own.]

Right over there, it should be. It's out past the town center, right?

That's right.

Lead on. [Okay will try her best to follow, and not look like an old person.]

[He nods and starts walking toward the house, making sure to keep his pace slow so she can keep up.

As they've been talking, he's noticed that she looks vaguely familiar. Now that they have her upright and (sort of) walking, he decides to approach the subject.]

Hey, we've met before, haven't we? Like, a really long time ago. You're, um... Kohaku, right?

[ooc: I think you were angelicamber on lj? If not, or you don't want him to remember her, just say so and I'll edit this!]

[That does not surprise her at all, and she doesn't even stumble. Just smiles.]

How long ago? For a little while there I was here, but I have no memories of it.

Really?

[His heart sinks, though not out of sympathy for her losing her memories; selfishly, he's wondering what that means for his promise to find Mac once he returns home.

Worrying over it won't help, and he doesn't want to be rude, so he brushes off the thought with a shake of his head.]

It must've been... Geez, a little less than a year ago. You were talkin' to flowers, I think.

It's somewhere near eight months by now I think. I was told I came back just a few days after I went home.

[She's really only curious as to way that happened. It seems pretty strange, even to her. And she's the best at being strange.]

Talking to flowers...yes, that would be me. I'm the only one here that can hear them without magical help...[Wait...] Unless being an angel is magical help...

Just a few days, huh?

[He isn't sure if leaving for a short time would be a cruel tease or a nice treat. Probably a mix of the two.]

...So they actually talk?

[Originally he thought she was crazy, but now that she proved the angel thing, he's forced to be more open minded.]

It probably does count, I think.

Yes, that's what I was told.

[It really didn't matter though. The Kohaku before would be at least two-hundred years younger than the one here now.]

Uh-huh. If you want to hear them, I can help with that.

[Her voice shows that she absolutely loves being able to do that. People's reactions are always satisfying.]

Oh well...then I'm just the only one who can hear them at all.

You can do that? How?

What do they say, anyway? I'm pretty sure in Alice in Wonderland they weren't the nicest people. Er, things.

That's hard to explain.

[She can just do it.

And at that, he earns a very confused look. What is that??]

Well, they really are just like people, and they're all very nice..

[He notices her confusion; he'd forgotten that the books he grew up reading aren't necessarily in other people's words.]

It's a book. A really weird book.

[He has it doubts about all flowers being nice, but now he's curious.]

Do you think you could show me how you do it? Sometime when you're back to normal, maybe.

[He doesn't want to cause her any more strain than she already has.]

It sounds weird, especially with all the flowers are very nice. They normally don't even spread secrets.

[She hasn't met a mean plant yet!]

Of course, I'd love to.

They don't? I'd still be careful about lettin' plants in on my secrets--besides, they could be lyin' to you about not tellin' anybody.

[Though if what she says is true, they really wouldn't have anyone else to tell besides her.]

I don't think I've ever found a tree that lied...but I'm not very good at knowing things like that...Maybe it's because I can't lie.

I really can't. The best I can do is try and change the subject.

[He shakes his head. He's not good at lying, but at least he can try.]

That must suck. Even if it's somethin' harmless? You couldn't even tell me that the sky's green?

Well I really have no secrets, and if I have to say something awkward, I always explain what I'm saying.

[And hold on she has to think about that. But sh eventually smiles.]

I can say it looks green if you look at it from under a tree.

No secrets? No offense, but I find that kinda hard to believe for anybody.

[It must be an angel thing.

He laughs; that's one way to get around it.]
