Fifth Feather ƸӜƷ Voice / Action
[Kohaku has been quiet for a decent amount of time to think. And with all that time to think, comes with thinking about everything that happened the first time she was here. With that time today, she props her journal sets for the journal by a nearby tree, knowing that it's on, but says nothing for a few minutes. It's almost impossible for her to ask this question...She won't talk too loud, but it's enough for people to hear her.]
Is it...Would it be considered strange for a person that can only fall in love once, for any sort of reason...to fall in love here, then back at home? I've been thinking about it for a while. Every way I think about it, it sounds like it shouldn't happen...
Oh, uhm...I may not have asked that right...if you have any questions about it, just ask.
...I know it's a weird question...maybe I shouldn't have asked...
[She honestly expects no one will answer, so she picks up her journal, and that's when she starts walking around town. But not in any normal sense of the word. Today, she actually looks more like an angel. Wings and floating around. (Though sometimes taking a random step, but that doesn't do anything. It just makes her look a little odd.
But while not in town, she can be found hopping over the bridge, and if not seeing her then, she can be found on the outside of the bridge, making ice swirls with any water she can pick up and set on the edge of the bridge.]

[He understands now what she means by falling in love here and at home. He pets her hair for a moment and then pulls his hand back.]
You remember her then. I had wondered if you did.
no subject
[It almost hurts to think about. Which is why she's now trying to make harder shapes. Playing with ice is much easier to think about.]
no subject
How do you feel about it? Not how you think you're supposed to feel, but how you really feel.
no subject
[That's the best way she can explain it.]
Maybe forgetting some things when I came back here wouldn't have been so bad...

Ice is a strange thing, don't you think?
It's made from the same material - it's all water so it freezes the same, it has unbreakable rules about itself. And yet each one is unique due to some circumstance in how it was formed and how it lived.
The same water can create many different versions of itself through ice.
[He isn't sure if his analogy will translate to her, but he reaches out and touches one of the ice swirls.]
no subject
And...that's something that's hard to sink in. She doesn't really understand. So all she can do is look at him quite confused.]
no subject
Just like the ice here, it has been changed by meeting you. It would not be if it weren't for you bringing it to life.
[His forefinger comes to rest at the end of the sculpture and he pauses.]
This place changes all of us, Kohaku-chan. It makes us different from what we would have been, if we had never been here.
A version of ourselves here. [He moves his hand and points to the water.] And of ourselves there, at home.
no subject
All of the changes came to fast this time...
[This time she starts on a tree, making the branches at certain heights, and only connecting a few by a small string of ice.]
no subject
I know it may seem strange, but I think you're very lucky. Some people will go their entire lives not knowing love like you did, and do.
There isn't any need to rush and decide how you feel now. The heart is meant to be a difficult thing.
no subject
[Someone not falling in love is pretty strange to think about.]
I know I can't, some emotions are still hard to understand. [One of them being love, and some people have had to tell her that.] But maybe I should've thought about all this earlier.
no subject
And maybe now is when you're ready to start facing your feelings.
[He holds his hand out under one of the branches of the tree.]
The branches never grow before the trunk is sturdy enough to support it, after all.
no subject
Maybe...but thinking about it just makes me want to hide.
no subject
Is that why you left the house so early today?
no subject
no subject
You can't hide from yourself forever.
But that doesn't mean you need to push yourself before you're ready.
[He looks over to her.]
If you ever need to talk about it, Kohaku-chan, I'll always listen.
no subject
I thought playing with water, and thinking was the best idea.
[Then she can go back and forth between the two, but the flower shop...all she would think about would be the plants.
And at that, she smiles a bit.]
Thank you.
no subject
[He smiles back and her.]
I'll make you honey and milk again tonight, if you'd like. For when you feel ready to come home.
no subject
...I can make it if you don't want to.
no subject
Oh, but i enjoy making it---
Unless I'm doing it wrong. Maybe you can give me pointers?
no subject
[She pretty much took care of everything back home for hundreds of years.]
I would like some when I'm back home though.
no subject
But alright, I'll have it waiting for you when you come back.
[He looks at the tree she's making and smiles.]
Until then, good luck. [With her tree and her thinking.]
