[The first thing one can see when looking in their journal, is Kohaku staring right back. It's obvious she's wet, and has quite a few spots of mud on her face, but if you watch her for long enough, it's pretty easy to tell she's not moving. Why? She is currently being held down by something! She can use her hands and feet just fine, but when she tries to get up...well, the only thing that happens is that she gets more mud on her face.

Eventually she stares at the book for too long though-]

Hello...I know it's kind of wet outside, and I think I'm stuck...or something heavy is on me, and I can't get up! I can't even turn around to see what it is...but I was wondering if someone could help. I would really like to be inside.

I understand if you don't want to help though. It's not very nice out.


[Although she doesn't like it, she could stay outside for the rest of the day without any problems, but laying in some mud, and grass is decently uncomfortable for her. Anybody walking around the edge of the forest should be able to spot her, since purple clothes don't exactly go with green! And if they watch her she looks like she's trying her very first push-up.(Which she kind of is) She doesn't get very high before she flops back down to the ground.

At least things can't get any worse!]

[He wonders if there's some shift that turns the ground to glue, but when he cautiously stands up he finds he can move around just fine.]

Where are you? If you're near the village I can get there quick.

[What else would make sense since she can't get up any further than on her elbows?]

I'm near it, but I'm not sure where exactly.

[He nods. The view of the journal starts bouncing slightly as he starts walking. If all she knows is that she's near the village, walking the perimeter will take some time so he wants to get a start.]

Can you see anything else around you?

Nothing important, just plants...I might be near one of the streams though.

One of the streams, got it. Just sit tight, I'll be there as fast as I can.

[He sets out from House 48 which is near the streams at the north of the town. Depending on where she is, it could take anywhere from fifteen minutes to half an hour to find her.]

[Kohaku doesn't mind waiting, since she's extremely paitently...and it's not like she can move anywhere.

[He tucks the journal away in his jacket as he begins to search. When he sees the purple of her clothes sticking out among the green, he races over.]

Hey! Is that you?

[ Never mind that "you" could mean anyone.]

[Should've probably told him her name..

But she turns her head to look at him, with a slightly confused look.] Are there other people stuck on the ground..?

Huh?

[Slow on the uptake, he blinks before realizing the source of the confusion.]

Er, sorry, I meant you. There's nobody else stuck like this that I saw.

[Maybe it's a mallynap effect? He feels bad for her, but at least it's not affecting all of them.

He kneels down to get closer to her level and holds out his hand.]

Gimme your hand, I'll help you up.

Okay.

[Her hand will be a little wobbly, but she moves it well enough to grab on tightly.]

Hang on!

[He holds on to her hand with both of his and starts standing up to have a better angle. He's anticipating having to grapple with something a lot heavier than her 85 or so pounds, so he pulls as hard as he can.

Hopefully she can catch her balance quickly.]

[Well, good news, she's standing upright for...a second or two. The bad news? She doesn't stop. Her legs give out the moment she has any weight, and she'll be falling quite awkwardly, wincing all the way unless he keeps her up.]

[He stumbles back, surprised at how easy it was, but manages to keep his balance. But he's not ready to help her maintain hers and his flailing comes too late to keep her on her feet.]

Oh, shi--!

[Sheepish, he bends down to see if she's okay.]

...I'm sorry. You all right?

[Well, now she's at least sitting...awkwardly, but still! It's not hard to tell she's having a hard time staying that way though.]

It's alright, I'm fine.

[Now though, she's wondering why that pull didn't send her flying.]

[He notices her difficulty and tilts his head to the side, doubting her words.]

...Are you sure? You look like you're gonna fall back down any minute now. You're not sick from lyin' out here, are you?

[Or maybe she's rattled from the fall.]

I'm sure...I don't get colds. It's just that everything just feels really heavy.

[She does look down at her clothes, while dirty and wet, they are extremely light.]

Heavy? That's funny, nothin' seemed too weird to me.

[If anything she seemed unusually light; he doesn't know her original weight.]

You're really sure you're not sick, huh? You don't have a fever or anything? Have you been hurt anywhere?

[He can't see any blood or major wounds, but he knows not everything that can rattle one's system is immediately visible.]

Well...it was kind of weird...I usually go flying when someone pulls that hard.

[Or at least get off the ground pretty well..]

I'm sure. The Malnosso didn't hurt me.

Flying?

[He pulled pretty hard, but not that hard.]

Well... That's good that they didn't hurt you. You might wanna get checked out anyway, just to figure out what's up.

[It's a relief if she's not hurt or sick, but that makes this all more confusing.

He sighs and reaches out his hand to her again.]

Come on. I won't drop you this time. Promise.

Yes, I don't weigh very much, and normally I can still fly.

[She'll take that hand, and hold on a little tighter this time.]

Fly? ...You sure you don't need your head checked out?

[Be nice, Firo.

He pulls with less force this time and has his free arm ready to catch under her arm when she's upright.]

[That makes her laugh.]

Yes, all angels can fly.

[She'll wait for the confused face, but she has a smile on her face when she's finally pulled up and standing. It's pretty hard, but she's trying her best!]

Now all I need to do is figure out how to walk...

...Angels. Right.

[He's skeptical and it shows very plainly on his face. But it's important to figure out what's wrong with her--besides possibly being delusional--so he'll let it go unless she tries to convince him.]

You can lean on me while you try.

[He assumes she actually knows the motions, despite what she said earlier about flying.]

[Well at least that sounds like he knows what they are, and that makes her happy.

But you sir are going to be standing there for a bit. She has a hard enough time even lifting a leg without almost going down. But she gets it a little, with small footsteps.]

...I don't think I can do it without holding on...

[He watches her try to walk, mystified by how difficult it seems.]

Then keep holdin' on. There anything else I can do to make it easier?

[He's a gangster, not a doctor; he doesn't know how to help someone get around beyond the obvious necessity of providing support.]
