Tenth Feather ƸӜƷ Video / Voice

[Kohaku has been quiet for a while. She's been in the forest most of the time, to find new things, and animals, but most notably can currently be seen from her journal. Placed at just the right distance away from a new and very pretty tree she found. (Though with a few less colors.) But the silence is broken soon by her laughing. This is something very new to her, even if other people can't hear it, it looks so new.

And the amazement is quite clear in her voice.]

I've seen so many plants before, but this is the first one that I've ever found to have more than one personality!

...I have no idea how I'm supposed to talk to it though...Talking to more than one plant at a time is already confusing enough...

[Then much later in the day-]

Uhm...I've been avoiding asking this for a long time, but...is there anyone that would be willing to teach me how to swim? I've never been in a lot of water, but I always hear that it's a lot of fun...

And it seems a little strange to be so old and have never tried it before...though I haven't tried a lot of things.

Maybe it might be a good idea to make a list of things I should try some day...

[That sounds something like what someone here could do. Firo falls silent for a moment thinking about it, then hastily continues.]

Yes...It made him cry. I don't think he had very much control over it.

[Ordinarily, Firo might not immediately feel sympathy for a guy who cried over things that didn't even happen to him. But now... All he can think of when he hears this is Seto sitting on the floor sobbing over all those memories that had nothing to do with him.

It's different when you know the same thing has happened to someone you love.]

[She would feel SO bad about bringing this up if she knew he had memories like that.]

I did. Each time he left, and woke up when he came back. Though none of my magic returned to me.

Still, I bet it was nice talkin' to another person, right?

Uh-huh. He even brought a few people with him sometimes.

Yes. I think he only brought the few he knew that wouldn't freak out by knowing I was an angel...since I couldn't hide that.

...It's a little hard to explain why you're the size of a child any other way.

Sort of? As a power saver angels and demons become smaller, and unable to use most of their magic if they haven't mastered all of their magic.

So since God took all of my magic, a was stuck in my smaller form.

Not at all. I can only sleep like that without waking up. With magic I only sleep...well, like anyone else.

I guess... Still sucks to get stuck lookin' like a kid for hundreds a' years.

[If Firo has one complaint about his immortality, it's that he has an eternity of being mistaken for a teenager to look forward to.]

No, I don't think so. I never got to ask about him when I woke up later, but everything seemed okay, since I woke up right when Shuichiro came to the house.

Seriously? That's pretty great timin'! And then you stayed awake with him?

Well, God had pretty much planned it so that when he came, the time was up. So I was normal sized, and everything!

[Firo wants to be happy for them, really. But his natural cynicism prompts him to scoff.]

No, only him, and a few demons knew that Shuichiro was going to die soon, which is why he wanted me back in heaven. So I wouldn't be hurt.

I made everything worse by going back to heaven. And while I did disobey orders, god still made everything so I could still be happy. So the punishment I recieved was really a gift.

[Kohaku sees NO bad in people...ever...unless they've tried to kill her...which is only 2 people.]

[He frowns, stuck for a response. It occurs to him that perhaps her god is like his boss; he'd probably say these exact same things she is if it were the Don doing them.]
